ABOUT
Imagination is key to my work - reference material is used only when absolutely necessary. Still life is not for me. The visions come directly from my imagination, from experimentation with form and colour and the muse of lived experience and influences. Often a work will grow organically in the creation from a central idea, spontaneous, unplanned and unbidden.
My fantasy works usually have a narrative set against the mise-en-scene. The viewer may decide what the story is. Creating a space where the familiar is unfamiliar and where new worlds reveal previously undiscovered treasure, I hope to inspire a sense of wonder.
